    DOGTOWN RACES
The Dogtown Half Marathon is a scenic point-to-point course that begins just North of Coral Canyon. The starting line is located at 193 N Old Highway 91 in Hurricane. Runners will head west and make a right turn at mile 1 onto Foothills Drive, descending into the Coral Canyon subdivision and crossing under SR-9 to Coral Canyon Blvd. At mile 3.5, runners will turn right onto E. Grasslands Pkwy and at mile 4, make a right turn onto Coral Canyon Trail. Following the trail up to Highland Pkwy, runners will pass through Highland Park and continue, crossing Telegraph, and then turning left onto the Highland South Loop trail on the other side. At mile 8.7, runners will turn right on Telegraph and then take a right turn on Landfill Rd. Continuing southeast on Landfill Rd for approximately 0.7 miles, runners will turn right onto a dirt trail leading to the paved trailhead of Cottonwood Trail. From there, runners will experience a fast and steep descent to the Virgin River. Around mile 11.8, runners will turn right towards the Virgin River Boardwalk and Sullivan Park. Staying on the trail until just past the fishing pond at Sullivan Park, runners will turn right onto the grass to cross the finish line. The majority of the Half Marathon course is on asphalt and paved running trails. There is one short area of dirt and gravel between LandFill Rd. and the Cottonwood Trail.
